The Out Of Reach Peach is the debut children’s book by graphic designer, Lauren Oh.
Diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Lauren drew upon personal inspiration to create a story highlighting the value of friendship and cooperation. Along with technology (such as computers, various respiratory support equipment and her customized, lime green power wheelchair), her own team of “helpful friends” have allowed Lauren to live life as independently as possible.
Lauren Oh graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a BA in Multimedia Digital Art. She currently works for a local nonprofit organization doing graphic design and also serves on the board of directors for “With A Little Help…” Inc., a camp that provides recreational activities for adults with neuromuscular diseases.
Lauren enjoys spending time at home with her loving life partner, 2 spirited pit bulls, and 2 ridiculous cats. Nature and art (of all forms) are among her favorite things, as well as her amazing family and friends.
